I have tried all of the options such as open, save, save open but nothing works to open the program.

I click on the open button and internet explorer flashes open and then puts me back to the view and track downloads. My default program is set to open with xml editor and the file is saved on the computer desktop.

Let's be clear, I am aware of the Chrome download history tool, but say for instance, I download an .exe from Chrome and run it. Is there a way to track any files that the .exe downloads?
