2013年2月1日 · Just curious from you fellow owners of these tires. My 2013 Sundance 3400QB came equipped with PowerMax Towmax tires. Mine came with STR tires. From what I have been reading, most of the problems have occured with just ST tires. Is it safe to assume that maybe Heartland upgraded the Towmax to an STR tire instead of ST's.

2019年4月17日 · The brand new Landmark had the Towmax tires and less then 120 miles on them. That is when I asked about tires and what to change to. Just purchased the fifth wheel and new tires were a big expense, but the damage I saw I was not going to take a chance on garbage tires. Goodyear G614's were the recommended and I ordered five.

2017年11月14日 · One of the Towmax that hadn't failed yet had a huge bubble on the inner sidewall and the other had separated and looked like a mountain bike tire rising up out of the middle of the tire. Ended up getting 3 tires since the one that failed back in Aug was replaced with a new Hercules, Power STR with a F load range max load of 3960 @ 95psi.

2015年9月13日 · When we looked at replacing the Towmax tires on our Greystone earlier this year, we checked a lot of websites for pricing and availability. People are literally giving away the Towmax tires. We bought some nice Goodyears for about $150 each installed which was about $50 more per tire than the price of the Towmax. Do yourself a favor -- buy good ...

2009年1月6日 · ST tires are not as standard with their load capacity as LT tires are. If you had the TowMax STR ST235/80R16E tires and replaced them with the Maxxis 8008 trailer tire ST235/80R16E you lost 100# of load capacity per tire. Please don't hammer me if you already knew that because lots of people do not and I'm just posting informative information.

2013年10月19日 · Iv'e read every ones concern in regards to Powerking TowMax Tires. I agree they are totally JUNK. I'll try to make this short. I purchased 2013 BH3010re Aug. 2012. My first RV stop, a neighbor had checked out my new RV earlier. He later confronted me with concern about my RV. He advise me I should change my new tires.

2014年7月29日 · There's plenty of discussion about Towmax tires and I believe the tire company does have some warranty coverage. Whether it would cover original tires on a 2012 trailer is unknown to me. From prior posts, i think they require the damaged tire for inspection to determine cause of the blowout.

2017年6月2日 · I have no doubt that if anyone tested Towmax tires at the rated 3,400 lb load and 65 MPH, most would fail within 5,000 miles. I failed three, one at 2400, one at 3,000, and one at 7,000 miles in the first year of use with only 2,810 lbs per tire.

2017年7月9日 · Sorry to hear about the damage to your trailer. There are plenty of posts here and all across the internet about Towmax blowouts. As you noted, most problems have been on heavier trailers with 16" tires. Some tire experts caution that ST tires have a maximum speed rating of 65 and that we should treat that like a red line on the truck's tachometer.

2017年1月10日 · Anybody running the Geostar G574 tires. My local tire guy recommended these tires to me. I drove my FW straight from the dealer to the tire shop and had the stock tires replaced (tow kings I think). These Geostars are 14ply. Supposedly they have great luck with them. I will keep everyone...
