The primary goal of the Terminal Master’s degree track is to develop competence in the core areas of psychology and their methods. Students are expected to demonstrate competence in research and have the skills and moral standards to apply the knowledge of the discipline competently and ethically in their daily lives and careers.

Terminal master’s degrees in psychology prepare students to pursue applied psychology careers. Terminal master’s degrees are most often designed as Master of Science (MS) programs, although there are exceptions to this rule.

In this clinically-focused program, students will apply knowledge and skills through 700 hours of practicum and internship experience in counseling. There are three tracks in the MS in Psychology program: general psychology, program development and evaluation, and research.
