Removing the cover is easy and reveals the HV connection (power feed from the Rear HVJB), lots orange insulating plastic, and a single PCB. A quick look at the PCB reveals four HV fuses and a busy power circuit.

2025年1月30日 · Today I’m going to pick up my 2021 Mach-E extended range, after the 7th time of replacing the hvjb. The “old” hvjb replacement parts broke down after a few months. Then the recall came in where ford said it wouldn’t break anymore. There thing is: this part keeps breaking after a week of regular driving, sometimes in a traffic stop.

For the proper torque sequence of the bolts that secure the HVJB cover, refer to HV Junction Box - Cover - 2nd Generation (Remove and Install).

Remove the high voltage junction box (HVJB) cover (refer to procedure). Warning: Perform all of the voltage checks listed in the procedure. If any voltage reading is more than 10V, the high voltage contactors are not fully opened.
