Well, the buck must have smelt the tarsal gland and then heard me walking because he came out of that bottom and started toward the field and he was ticked off.

2018年10月10日 · If you used one set of glands and you know if it was young or older will play a big part in how much. better to go easy in a mock scrape and add some doe in heat urine. that way any sub dom react to the scrape where just tarsal the sub dom may back off it. young bucks getting on a scrape can only help in getting the big boy there.

I looked up and a flock of buzzards was starting to circle my food plot. I told myself no way they are targeting the tarsal gland.

2020年11月11日 · There will be lots of odor in the hair as it absorbs much of the urine that runs down the legs over the tarsal gland. After tincturing both hair and the gland you can combine the left over tincture of both batches. Should be good stuff if you tincture them long enough. Save the hair after draining the tincture and save the mother gland paste.
