\$\begingroup\$ We had a Tarasque thrown at us (~17th level, 6 party members) in the World's Largest Dungeon for 3.5E. It was the devil. We seriously had to reset combat due to TPK at least 3 times. Story-wise (even though there is not much of a story in WLD,) we had some allies to help us fight the Tarasque, but they only served as cannon fodder.

2022年10月1日 · Designate a healer - if you don't have one, switch to healer, congratulations on your new job. Sage works best, but you can do it with a real healer too, it just takes more skill. Remain unsynced in all your (hopefully at least level 80) glory, while the other brave adventurers face the Tarasque as piddly little level 50-something babies.

2020年5月27日 · But I remember hearing of the tarasque shattering a barrier that was basically above a level 9 spell in power with ease unfortunately I can't remember the source for that bit of info. By the way the highest was Karsus's avatar, it was a LV 12 spell which funny enough required Tarrasque blood.

2022年8月9日 · Now for fighting the Tarrasque. A simple way to reduce the speed is caltrops. Given that it never says anything about attacking, and there's no attack roll, I'd guess that stepping on them is not an attack, just like fall damage, and thus the Tarrasques immunity to nonmagical piercing attacks doesn't apply.

Once you go to three turns many very basic character builds can kill a tarasque by themselves (e.g. a straight 20th level elven champion fighter sharpshooter with three rounds with their pick of two magical items can start 400 feet away and kill the tarasque by herself in 3 rounds.) and still have 3 asi to play with.
