Tecumseh, Michigan, is a vibrant small community, situated 25 miles southwest of Ann Arbor, and 45 miles northwest of Toledo. Nestled into the rolling landscape of Lenawee County, the city's location provides easy access to major highways and transportation hubs.

As one of the original Michigan territory colonies, Tecumseh was first home to settlers from Jefferson County, New York, in 1824 when a community log cabin was built upon the riverbank. This group of less than 30 were the first true residents of what we now know as Tecumseh.

The Tecumseh Center for the Arts, Cabela’s, Michigan International Speedway and Michigan State University’s Hidden Lake Gardens all provide inviting recreational opportunities for residents and visitors to enjoy.

Tecumseh, Michigan, is a vibrant community, situated 25 miles southwest of Ann Arbor, Michigan and 40 miles northwest of Toledo, Ohio. The city currently has a land area of approximately 5.4 square miles and a population of 8,651 (estimated as of July 2022).

The boil advisory is out of caution and recommendation by the State of Michigan due to a low water pressure issue that began on January 12. The State of Michigan is recommending a 48-hour Water Boil Advisory during required State testing to ensure safe drinking water qualities.
