All weekend t mobile home internet hasn’t been the best for me. I actually turned it off and turned my Comcast internet back on. With t mobile the modem says good signal strength with 4g internet. I’m like no wonder why nothing is working great. I even moved the modem to where the app directed me to put and still…. It wasn’t good.

However, my brief encounter with T-Mobile Home Internet unearthed serious problems with the wireless service, T-Mobile's inability to deal with capacity issues, and customer service representatives that would lie to customers to get them off the phone or kick the can down the road regarding connectivity woes.

I've been looking into it because $30/mo is a hell of a lot better deal than what I'm paying for cable internet. I am a T-Mobile customer already for cell phones and I've had a pretty good experience with them so far.

The long story short on Verizon is that it's cheap, fast, overall pretty solid but once a day or so the connection to work VPN's would drop for a split second and then come back. Moved to a new place that had Comcast and T-Mobile 5G Home Internet available as choices, no Verizon.

Dec 2, 2020 · The T-mobile wireless home internet gateway connects to a data only 5G tower and WAN network and data isn't mixed with 5G cell traffic. T-mobile openly admits heavier traffic occurs speeds will be reduced. The maximum download speed I've observed is 31.6 MB/s but typically DL speeds run between 10 MB/s - 16 MB/s.

Feb 11, 2024 · Hello everyone, looking forward to fill gaps in my knowledge regarding T-mobile 5G home internet. After getting a flyer that T-mobile home internet is available at my (a remote Sierra Highlands area) address, I yesterday walked to 'authorized retailer store' (not a corp store) at a nearby city, signed up to 5G home internet and got 5G home internet gateway.

I switched to T-Mobile 5G Home Internet back in December from Starlink. My download and upload speeds more than doubled, while my latency was more than halved. Not to mention that my monthly cost was cut from $110 to $50 a month. I'd definitely suggest T-Mobile over Starlink considering you don't have to pay $600 up front too.

The Modem itself unfortunately is just an off the shelf rebranded to T-mobile Askey modem. T-mobile could have ordered a custom modem for their network with antennas / antenna ports for the LTE, better firmware, better web interface, band locking, bridge mode, VPN, etc.

Super frustrating that T-Mobile sponsors the MLB yet their home internet can’t support the online match making for MLBs official game. I reached out to T-Mobile support and they are fully aware of the issue and basically said I was SOL. I’ve seen some others post, but DO NOT BUY THIS GAME if you have T-Mobile home internet.
