2008年7月9日 · We checked the static pressure at that point with no ductwork attached coming out of the front of the plenum (just a big hole) and a 12x9 trunk coming out the top (unchanged) and a 8x9.5 trunk coming out the back of the plenum (also unchanged). The static pressure was 0.79 (versus 1.1 when the 14x14 hole was not there).

2021年3月14日 · Not sure how many guys take static readings on residential installs, but I'm thinking most systems are running higher than 0.5 external for a furnace AC setup. Depending on the filter setup and coil pressure drop you can already be at 0.5!

2008年11月12日 · Measure the PD across the grille. Thats your return static. Units designed for MHs being high static drives is a myth..8" to 1" isn't unusual. None of the MH units have ratings for .1", so they aren't delivering rated air flow at that static. Same as any unit that is operating above its rated static.

2018年11月21日 · Dan, I just replaced one of my 14x4x8 inch floor boots with a 14x8x10 inch boot. Removed the old original 25 foot long 8 inch flex duct and replaced it with a 10 inch duct and my static pressure before the air filter now reads .18 instead of .25!!

2015年4月15日 · I've been trying to get a lot better with duct systems and static pressure. I do residential installs. I recently did a full duct install with a new system and figured my friction rate at .048 so I used .05. The furnace is rated at .05" static and my total static ended up being .41" WC. I had -.28" on return and +.13" on supply.

2005年9月3日 · From what I can tell, the static pressure drop of the media filter will be about .25 IWC at 2000 cfm. He is looking at a variable speed 2-stage furnace from 2 different manufacturers. From what we know, the one brand’s furnace has a maximum static pressure rating of .8 IWC and the other has a maximum of .5 IWC. 1.

2004年9月29日 · Lets say we measure a return static of .20 & a supply static of .16,this will give us a total external static pressure of .36 the fan is moving 950 CFM on high speed. This is a 2 Ton system? If it is we are moving too much air.
