2022年2月8日 · To be fair, the stargate with the pyramid "At" symbol was brought to Earth by Ra. The original Ancient stargate was left forgotten in Antarctica until SG-1 found it. It had a totally different point of origin. I could totally see Ra being narcissistic enough to get his stargate and DHD modified with a symbol that represented him.

So the triangle represent the pyramids und the circle the stargate. But after all we know, the Goa'uld stole this technology from the ancients.

2017年10月23日 · The symbols probably translate to some kind of Ancient/ lanthean coordinate system through which the destination point can be defined and then alongside the point of origin establish a wormhole. The flipside of coarse is that one would need to be able to actually use said symbols and translate them to the galaxy to being able to dial out.

2022年2月18日 · Every Stargate has 37 of the same symbols and 1 unique one for the origin. I think it's different in the original movie. There it seems like the symbols are the same for every gate and the problem they had was figuring which of the 38 was the origin. Although, why they couldn't just dial 38 times to figure it out is a plot hole.
