Oct 21, 2019 · My husband who is 75 is in stage 4 kidney disease according to his gfr. His last Gfr was 27. That sounds terrible to me, but his nephrologist says he is stable. He is not diabetic. His creatinine is 3.2, albumin 4.1. Phosphorus, sodium, calcium, potassium are all normal. His blood pressure is controlled by medication.

Diagnosed with stage 5 kidney disease, but feel fine
May 21, 2019 · I feel fine. Part of that's due to a kidney-friendly, diabetes-friendly diet. I know for sure I have renal disease, though, I've seen the images of my quite-dead, atrophied left kidney. Neph still classifies me in stage 4 but BUN & creatinine are fairly good and eGFR is 33, which actually is stage 3 b.
Is Low Diastolic Blood Pressure common with Stage 3 or 4 CKD?
Jul 30, 2021 · Bill has CKD. Has been on Atenolol for decades and it has keep his BP at a great range. However, we recently noticed that his BP has been dropping really low sometimes during the day, especially the diastolic (in 50s, 40s, and one day 34 diastolic. Then later it will go back to fairly normal or at least 114/60. Is this common with Stage 3 or 4 CKD?

Jan 23, 2024 · Yes, a plant-based diet can be helpful. At one time I was in Stage 4 and on dialysis and went "almost vegan" and was able to stop dialysis and slowly came up to Stage 3. You don't say how your primary determined your stage of CKD but by all means consult a nephrologist and perhaps 2 nephs-you're entitled to seek a second opinion.
Taken off of Keytruda/Lenvima for stage 4 RCC
Jun 3, 2022 · My wife was diagnosed stage 4 kidney cancer about 3 months ago, she's 52. She has a mass on her kidney and its in several lymph nodes. She's been doing the immunotherapy as well. She has another scan next month so hopefully some improvements have been made. Just seems like we're spinning our wheels with this.
