St George's Market is the last surviving Victorian covered market in Belfast, Northern Ireland. It is located on May Street, close to the River Lagan and the Waterfront Hall. Belfast Corporation (now Belfast City Council) commissioned the building of St George's Market, which was built in three phases between 1890 and 1896.

Whether you’re a local or just spending a weekend in Belfast, St. George’s Market is a great option for something to do on a Sunday. The market is open on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays, but I’d say it’s a particularly good option on Sundays when Belfast is relatively empty and quiet.

2021年5月9日 · St George’s was an open-air market with a slaughter house. In the 1880’s Belfast Corporation decided to build an enlarged and enclosed market place on the site. The new Market was opened to the public on 20th June 1890 and immediately proved to be very popular.
