ARLINGTON – One new roundabout on SR 530, just west of Arlington, is done. One more roundabout to go. This weekend, from 9 p.m. Friday, July 28 through 4 a.m. Tuesday, August 1, SR 530 will be closed between 59th Avenue NE and 211th Place NE, just west of Arlington for roundabout construction.

2025年2月28日 · From 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Wednesday, March 5, bridge maintenance crews will alternate traffic on State Route 530 on the Cicero Bridge in Arlington for bridge flushing work. Eastbound & westbound traffic is alternating on SR 530 at Giles Rd (MP 50) due to roadwork.

2025年2月25日 · A fatal head-on collision has fully blocked State Route 530 at 251st Place NE in Arlington Heights. Westbound traffic is being diverted to 115th Street, and eastbound traffic is redirected to Arlington Heights Road.

2019年3月20日 · Landslide debris blocked the North Fork Stillaguamish River, destroyed about 40 homes and other structures, and buried nearly a mile of State Route 530. Most tragically, it caused 43 fatalities in the community of Steelhead Haven near Oso, Washington.

Major construction has concluded on this project. This map shows SR 530 and the intersections of 59th Avenue Northeast and 211th Place Northeast where two compact roundabouts will be installed. This four-mile long east-west corridor is located in Snohomish County within the city limits of Arlington.

Arlington worked with WSDOT to install a temporary traffic signal at the intersection of Smokey Point Boulevard and SR-530 while a permanent solution is implemented, the design and construction of a roundabout. The planned roundabout will increase safety, increase mobility and reduce backups.
