2018年3月29日 · I'm usually using camera to figure out the trajectory of sun. Just build camera pointing at the sun (best to use a ship for that), go into the camera view and zoom as far as possible.

This mod allows for the creation of real solar systems with moving planets, gas giants, and stars. There are no limits on scale, speed, hierarchy, or really much of anything else. Supports fully customizable gravity, day cycles, orbit parameters, multiple stars, and much more! Build as many systems as you want! Order them however you want!

2023年2月17日 · Xbox players are going to be happy to have scriptless solar tracking without sub-grid shenanigans :) Playstation players too when that is launched. Make sure you have a camera included and assigned on the CTC otherwise you will crash. This has been reported as a bug. Can you show the options to get it strated?

The sun is a light source painted on the skybox and you can never reach it. As a simplification, the skybox rotates around the Earthlike planet in the center, which is in contrast to real life, where the planets rotate and also orbit the sun.

2023年7月26日 · I use custom turret control block set to aim sun and overridden gyros on rotors for azimuth and elevation, rotors are perpendicular to ship's longitudinal axel. Only one issue is that it aims backwards for some reason, i.e. not camera to the sun but from the sun.

2024年10月31日 · Tried to set up a basic two-rotor sun tracking tower without changing the limits at all, and the thing danced around like it was at a punk rock concert. Solved the issue with a less interesting rotor-hinge set up that works without wiggling.
