2024年2月11日 · Depending on the interior color you go with- that could make a big difference in terms of comfort on a hot day. Black Softex in summer without ventilated seats will be hot. Black leather with the ventilated seats turned on is a lot nicer. I've had Toyotas with the Softex interior and real leather.

The kind of people who believe a $12 bottle of wine is "fine wine", buy fake jewelry and consider Big Mac a quality burger. There are some decent synthetic leather alternatives (MBTex, Alcantara), but Softex is NOT one of them.

2014年2月8日 · There isis a difference b/t the leather and Softex configuration on the XLE. Those that are called "leather" have actual leather seat bottoms/backs in the front and 2nd rows with Softex trim around that and Softex in the 3rd row. In contrast, the ones that say "dark gray Softex" are indeed Softex throughout (front, 2nd, and back).

2024年5月24日 · Given the price difference, I would expect that BMW leather would look nicer than Toyota Softex- right away and as it ages. Different mainstream brands can have different quality too- the leather in my wife's 2021 Passport looks pretty rough after two years, while the leather in my 2023 Highlander looks as good as new after a year.

I have had my 2013 limited Rav4 for about 4 weeks now. previously I had a 2002 limited highlander with genuine perforated leather seats.

2013年6月8日 · I have softex on a v and have not experienced any overly hot/damp issues. I wear cotton outer pants, various fabric underwear. I've had ventilated seats, leather surfaced seats, cloth seats and softex seats in the last 3 years and don't notice any difference. I got softex because I have grandkids and they spill.
