2017年8月10日 · Even though I set the smoker to cold smoke mode, the smoker warmed up to 82 degrees. The cheese began to sweat and soften. I was worried that the temp may continue to rise and melt the cheese. I ended up turning off the smoker and replacing the wood tray with an Amazen pellet tray. This allowed me to keep the temps much lower.

2011年7月17日 · I have a Smoke Hollow electric. It has been turning out some great products for me since getting it for Fathers day this year. The built in thermo in mine is under by about 15 degrees from the actual temp. I use a remote electronic thermometer and use the potato trick to hold it to monitor the smokers temp.

It was an offset smoker and very hard to clean. i got VERY good with it. and in my mind. i proved myself a worthy smoker. And thought i'd relax now and get the electric one.

2017年9月11日 · I don't have an electric smoker so I can't give any rock solid advice on your situation. I usually smoke my butts in the 250 to 275 range. Temp swings aren't all that critical(at least to me). I've tried the low and slow method when I first started out, but got tired of eating at 10pm. I'm also not a fan of overnight smokes.

2017年4月19日 · I have a Smoke Hollow, basic one 1500w with fry pan dial. Do not cook well until I modded it with mailbox for better smoke with pellet tray and smoke stack and heat diffuser for better air flow. Last year, it burnt up the main connection at the element. I just rebuilt it with a HeaterMeter as PID controller. Amazing difference in temp control.

2008年5月15日 · Now I think this may have been discussed in other forums but here’s more information. Today, I check the temperature on my smoker. I have a Smoke Hollow upright. I used a digital temperature probe to see what the smoker said compared to what was actually the temperature. Man, it’s like 100 degrees off!! Here is what I am going to do.

2014年1月1日 · Also found best smoke at lower temps. with sawdust, and pan placed right on top of coils. For real low smoke temps I use the amaz. smoker. No problems with smoke at temps above 180. Picked mine up for $99. bucks a few years ago and Bass Pro had a Masterbuilt mod. on sale before Christmas for $69. So keep your eyes open.
