Sivas University of Science and Technology, in central Turkey, was founded in 2018. Five years later, it was granted the title of “University specialising in optics.” The modern university sits in an ancient city: former residents include the Hittites, the Assyrians, the Persians and the Romans.

Our university was founded on May 18, 2018 as Sivas' second state university to contribute to science and technology with research activities that respond to the needs of our age. Sivas city is in the center of Anatolia and has thousands of years of history.
