Nestled in the San Bernardino Mountains, Silverwood Lake offers a serene escape across 3,300 acres. With boating, fishing, hiking trails, and scenic picnicking spots, it's a haven for outdoor enthusiasts.

Silverwood Lake SRA has 2 designated campgrounds with 136 campsites and 6 group campsites. The Old Mesa Campground is composed of 95 non-hookup campsites and is located just past the park entrance kiosk.The New Mesa Campground offers 40 hook-up campsites with full power, water, and sewage hookups.

Silverwood Lake State Recreation Area is a premier destination for fishing enthusiasts. The lake is stocked with a variety of fish species, including largemouth bass, trout, catfish, and bluegill, offering ample opportunities for anglers of all skill levels.

Silverwood Lake habitats include ponderosa pine, incense cedar, white ir, and black oak. Along the shore, chamise, live oak, manzanita, ceanothus, and mountain mahogany grow. During summer weekends and holidays, May - September, Silverwood Lake SRA may reach maximum boating capacity and close. Usually, Silverwood Lake is able to reopen in the late afternoon as early boaters leave.

The Silverwood Lake Multi-Use Trail is an ‘out-and-back’ improved access trail that is 0.44 miles each way that follows the lake's southern shoreline that offers excellent views of the lake and surrounding San Bernardino Mountains. The surface is asphalt.
