2021年1月5日 · The Original cameo connected using a standard printer cable, can be any brand. The biggest issue with the Cameo 1 is that Windows 10 stopped supporting USB 1 devices. So silhouette released a patch to make them usable.

I now have a windows 11 laptop, and when I used the latest version of silhouette studio to make a file, the software could not find the cutter. I found the website that had the firmware cc300.zip file. I extracted the file and installed it on a newly formatted dd card.

I basically take scans of things I want to cut, in a printer scanner that has an A3 sized scanner bed, save the image in a jpg file, use photoshop to clean up the outlines, import the jpg file into Silhouette, and then use the outline function to produce a .studio3 file and then cut from that.

2021年4月16日 · Silhouette Cameo 4 is about 450$ where I live, but I found the v1 at around 100$. Is this still worth it? If no, why ? According to my research, it's cutting pretty much like the 3, but I don't have the option for accessories, but seems to have all the others features (like print and cut and stuff like this).

2019年7月18日 · It was a hit or miss and Cameo was sometimes perfectly ok and connected without issues but sometimes I had to turn it on/off hundreds of times or connect/disconnect usb to be able to see it in studio. All the guides on silhouette site tell you to use original usb cable and try to resolve software connection issues.

2021年3月15日 · I upgraded from Cameo 1 to a 4 last June. I initially had an issue with the width of the cut area being incorrect (meaning the machine wouldn’t cut the whole width it should have) but got it resolved by a firmware update after some back and forth with silhouette support.

I see that firmware 1.13 was released September 2020, and noticed that my machine still has 1.12 - figured I'd give it a try to update.
