So I'm buying a Shure SM7B for streaming and singing (as I have a lot of keyboard noise on the first and not a perfect studio) and read that a good preamp is necessary to bring out the sound.

I would say, however, that unless your full time job is content creation the audio quality ( providing you properly set up your equipment ) from less expensive microphones is totally sufficient for hobbyists.
