2022年1月24日 · Yes, the name "Shelby" was involved but those cars were not built by/for Shelby American. They were offered throughthe Shelby Foundation as completed cars - with power train - but not legal for street use (yeah, right). I don't know if any of them were ever sold. I would have loved to have had McClusky's car. _____

Ford wasn't interested in drag racing and therefore neither was Shelby American. Along the way, a few of Shelby's employees convinced him to furnish them a 289 Cobra to build a drag car.
