The minimum age to volunteer at The Shade Tree is 10 years of age. Volunteers 10-15 years old must volunteer with and be accompanied by a parent or responsible adult at all times. Anyone that is 16 or older may volunteer without a parent present.

Linda Perez has served as CEO of The Shade Tree since April 2019. In her role at The Shade Tree, Perez is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the 38,000 square foot shelter and organization, including client services and programming, finances, development and fundraising, staffing, community relations, and facility operations.

The Shade Tree could not accomplish all that we do without the generosity of donors like you! Our donors are our lifeblood, helping us provide shelter, food, and lifesaving services to people who are escaping domestic violence, human trafficking, and homelessness.

Each person who comes to The Shade Tree is provided with a case manager who creates an individualized case plan. Daily Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner Service. Our kitchens provide nutritious, wholesome and delicious meals for our residents and those who come in for emergency shelter or due to inclement weather. Children’s Activity Center (CAC)

The Shade Tree, a 24-hour accessible shelter designed to specifically meet the needs of women and children in crisis, is partnering with Protective Force International (PFI) to provide safety and security resources and training measures for its residents and staff.
