So one could say that he HAD an happy ending. If not for him and Celebrimbor middle earth would have been ravaged. I know that this all is not canon but I for one really liked the ending. A typical "happy end" would have destroyed everything The Lord of the Rings and it's message that ultimate power corrupts ultimatively told us.

2017年10月16日 · Yes, i even finished the "shadow wars". You return to the game after the story. Then act IV starts, wich is shadow wars. In shadow wars the game is still fully functional. After that you get the 'true ending'. After the true ending you return to the game. Hope this helped. But, you CANNOT play the side missions. Please, do not confuse them.
