Find the Serene Lake Trail #512 on the right, near the tall Frazier Turnaround sign. There's a wilderness permit box here that you need to sign in at. The trail loses 400 feet of elevation in the first 0.8 mile in silver fir, noble fir, mountain hemlock and huckleberry woods.

The trail passes spur trails to Middle Rock Lake, Upper Rock Lake and eventually Lower Rock Lake in the next 0.2 mile. For the next 1.3 miles the trail descends gradually after the Lower Rock Lake junction before climbing to Serene Lake.

2020年5月17日 · Mid to late June through October is the time to head a little deeper into the Roaring River Wilderness and experience fantastic trails that loop around the Rock Lakes Basin. The 9-mile loop starts from the Frazier Trailhead off of the bumpy Frazier Mountain Road.

Middle Rock Lake and Serene Lake have the nicest camp sites. Don’t forget bug repellent at bug season. These lakes are rather popular during the Summer. If Middle Rock Lake is too crowded, follow a meandering and brushy trail around the lake and up a short hill to the small but pleasing Upper Rock Lake.
