The city of Sebree is located in the state of Kentucky in Webster County. Sebree was founded as a railroad town in 1868. The post office was initially named McBridge, but renamed for Col. E.G. Sebree in 1870 for his assistance in bringing the railroad to this part of the state.

It was quickly followed by a Methodist, Catholic and Baptist churches.
