小蠹科(Scolytidae)，属昆虫纲鞘翅目的一种动物。微小至小形，宽短，圆筒形。头部的一部分向下方延长成较短的头管，象鼻部分短而不甚明显。触角短，锤状。前胸背板大，长度约占体长的1/3以上，前端收狭。足胫节有齿，跗节5节，末节长。
