2018年4月5日 · Schizophrenia is, well, schizophrenia. Schizoaffective disorder means you have schizophrenia as well as a mood disorder. It's my understanding that this mood disorder is either depression or bipolar disorder. I have schizophrenia and depression, making my diagnosis technically schizoaffective disorder.

2023年5月24日 · Schizoaffective is said to have a better prognosis which is statistically true, but only because schizoaffective requires only two weeks of psychosis outside of a mood episode. Schizophrenia requires at least one month, and six months of the same or other debilitating symptoms related to the disorder so the stats are a bit skewed by that.
