2011年6月9日 · I planted 400 Sawtooth oak seedlings in 2009. Over half died as I was able to take care of them the first few years (military). The surviving trees began producing in 2018. They drop acorns in late September. I planted 600 Nutall oak seedlings in 2009. 2/3 of these trees died for the same reason as above.

2000年10月14日 · Yes, they eat them, but primarily early in acorn drop. Sawtooths are usually one of the first acorns to fall, which draws deer. But once white oak acorns begin to fall, most of the action switches to that species.

2002年11月22日 · I ordered about 50 seedlings from Sunbright Farms, Ila Georgia to plant at my hunting property. I bought persimmon, pawpaw, wild pear, turkey sawtooth oak, and plum trees. I was very satisfied with the quality of the trees as they were well packaged and seem to have really ample roots. The trees averaged about 18" above ground, not counting roots.
