2005年10月17日 · The SS109 is the name Europe gave the M855. SS109 "usually" meets the NATO specs(you have to look for that crosshair circle). The M855 is held to higher tolerances than the SS109. The US M855 is usually more accurate because the tolerances are more strict than the SS109 counter part. Example the steel core being centered better.

2013年10月7日 · I use ss109's almost exclusively, and get sub moa all day with the right powder first off, use data for 69 grain bullets, it comes down to surface area as opposed to weight with the steel core penetrator second, powder selection is key. CFE223 is my go to powder for my favorite sub moa recipe, which as is follows: ss109 25.7 grn CFE223

2013年1月5日 · Was reading alot about the CFE223, and was amazed at the velocities achieved in 5.56/.223 loadings. But since deciding to move ate rifles after only shooting/reloading pistols, I have noticed very little manufacturer supplied data for loading military surplus bullets like the 62gr SS109 and the 147gr surplus bullets for NATO 7.62.

2010年6月24日 · Long bullets need faster twists for adequate stabilization, and frankly 1:12 is just about as slow as you want for 55gr FMJs (it works OK with .22LR rounds) 62gr bullets, especially the longer SS109 type, need at least 1:10, preferably faster, to get the bullets properly stabilized.
