Caltrans will begin work on Eastbound State Route 37 (SR-37). EB SR-37 will be closed, and motorist detoured beginning at the SR-37/SR-121 interchange near Sears point (Sonoma County). The Eastbound closures will be 55 hours, starting Friday, May 17 10:00 P.M. to Monday, May 20 at 5:00 A.M.

This project is a collaborative effort between the counties of Marin, Sonoma, Napa and Solano to improve the State Route (SR) 37 corridor to address sea level rise, traffic congestion, transit options and recreational activities.

Construction on the State Route (SR) 37/Fairground Drive Interchange Improvements Project is anticipated to start in late March 2025, with completion by mid-2026. Pre-construction work, including tree removal, will begin in early March 2025. Landscape improvements will be made at the conclusion of construction.

At the meeting, staff will update stakeholders and the public on the PEL Study, the Purpose and Need statement, and gather input on the evaluation criteria and preliminary alternatives.

Fund improvements to SR 37 to provide for mobility, safety and resiliency to sea-level rise and flooding. The project includes the segment of SR 37 from the intersection with U.S. Highway 101 in Marin County to the intersection with Interstate 80 in Solano County.
