2012年10月18日 · The RV cam will make 3/4ths the amount of power that a 3/4 cam will. If you really want to kick ass you need a "full race" cam, or 4/4 cam. I think Dave Bruebeck had a 5/4 cam at one time.

2021年4月13日 · Looked up a few modern grinds, the ever mysterious RV cam for comparison. These are very common replacement upgrade cams. Most lifts are in the .440 to .470 range, dur @.050 from 214-230. Above mid 230's starts to get into the range where vacuum suffers, a mild stall is needed, a sharp tuner can extend that range a bit RV CAM 1 (summit)
350 engine with an "RV" cam? - Team Camaro Tech

timing for a stock 350 with mild rv cam | Team Camaro Tech
2010年8月22日 · Sounds like you have a severe Vacuum Leak or Valve train problem. 4 Degrees isn't much you should be around 10 Degrees BTDC with a RV Cam. Disconect and plug all Vacuum Sources Tranny Mod, PB, PCV, Vacuum Advance ... etc and put on a vacuum Gauge on her. It should be Stable; if not, you have Leaks in the Intake or a cam going south.

What the @#$% is an RV CAM anyway?? - The Jalopy Journal
2009年12月7日 · What would be a stock cam in a 350 would be like an RV cam for a 283. What would be an RV cam for a 350 would be akin to a steet performance cam for a 283. So what does it really have???? Doesn't matter, no worries on the heads in either case. Good luck!
Technical SBC 350 Advance Timing with Streetfire HEI Setup
2015年5月24日 · On my 53 Chevy, I have a SBC 350 with an RV cam but everything else stock and rebuilt with not too many miles since. I have an Edelbrock carb. I bought a streetfire (made by MSD) distributor unit with the vacuum advance, rotor, cap etc. The directions say it is set up for 22 deg mechanical advance at 4000 rpm.
Technical Best cam for a 305 - The Jalopy Journal
2015年5月7日 · I'd highly recommend putting a stock cam in it along the lines of a 300HP 327, 195/202 degrees @ .050, .390"/.410" lift. You get the advantage of keeping the valve train 100% stock incurring no added build costs and retaining stone-stock reliability. It should be at least a step up from the original 305 cam.
