2025年2月5日 · I too own an alaskan 454 casull, although I mostly shoot 45 colts through it to keep from beating up my hands. 92k is crazy. But I really appreciate the attention to detail when they made them. As far as most punishing 8" 500 smith, is the worst I have fired, it hurt after a box of factory loads.

2023年12月25日 · So I’ve been seeing that some people have done this already and have had zero issues with the standard Redhawk after swapping the cylinder out with the 454 Casull SRH Alaskan cylinder. I want a Ruger made 454 however 2.5 inches is just to short, especially when shooting 45 Colt +p ammo as well.

2012年7月7日 · scoped 454 casull Got my toklat 6 wks ago-- put a dot ultra dot 1x 30mm on it--(called ruger cs, sent the 1" rings to them (that came w/the toklat) and they PROMPTLY sent the correct 30mm rings needed ) just tightened 'em up, came back the next day a little braver and snugged 'em up good.

2017年2月11日 · Have used a half dozen of the standard Ultradot 25s on handguns even more vicious in recoil than the 454, such as a 30-06, 444 Marlin and 45-70 Encore pistols and also a 460 S&W revolver. Have never had a single one fail, not one, but some of those guns did eat some expensive handgun scopes.

2015年12月30日 · The 5.5" Toklat is the best balancing and handling DA revolver I own (out of about 35-40 44mag, 45colt, 454, 480, and 475line DA revolvers from Taurus, Smith, DW, and Ruger). Neither is "friendly." The recoil from any 454C revolver is extreme.

2018年2月11日 · The cylinder to forcing cone gap of my SRH measure 0.006 inches, which is well within the 0.004 to 0.012 range Ruger apparently set for the 454 Casull SRH. However, a thing I noticed is when I drop a JHP bullet of 0.453 inch in diameter down the rear of each chamber in the cylinder, the bullet will easily fall out and this is for all 6 chambers.
