Vaquero .357 birdshead - Ruger Forum
2017年7月14日 · picked up a birdshead Vaquero .357 yesterday. and as I'm paying, I see a Ruger AR556 lower sitting there in the showcase window, so as a Ruger fan I just had to get that too. this is my third New Vaquero birdshead. I also have a 45acp, and a 44magnum. I can't wait to try it out. and I'm planning a special build for the AR556 lower.
Unhappy With My Blackhawk 357/9MM - Ruger Forum
2023年6月23日 · People blame the bore diameter, which is part of the accuracy issue, but the barrel's twist rate is also a factor. Most 9mm pistols have a faster 1:10 twist rate whereas 357/9mm Rugers have a 1:16 twist rate, which is better suited for heavier bullets. If you reload, you can use 125gr .357" bullets in 9mm cases and get much better accuracy.

2013年11月2日 · LunaticFringeInc, Ruger never made a 45 cal revolver with a .454" bore .... only .451". Right after the Korean War, SAAMI changed the specifications for all 45 cal revolvers to .451" bores so both revolvers and pistols could use the same diameter bullets. Ruger's first 45 Cal Blackhawk wasn't made until 1971 ... about 20 years after the change.
Ruger vs. Taurus? - Ruger Forum
2020年6月17日 · Reading all the problems with the 7 shot Ruger GP100's in .357 Magnum, I picked up the Taurus 7 shot stainless in .357. It has been very reliable. Plus my son in law has a Taurus Model 66 stainless 7 shot and his has also been very good. But generally Ruger, S&W, & Taurus have all been very reliable!!! I like them all!!!
Uberti "El Patron" .357 SA Revolver - Ruger Forum
2024年12月31日 · The bigger bores have so much better balance and weight I have missed out on the .357. The extra weight in the barrel and cylinder of the .357 makes it less "lively" in the hand. I do like the 5 1/2" barrel length the best, a 4 3/4" looks "chopped off" and the 7 1/2", while a great range gun, is a bit cumbersome for belt carry.
.357 cylinder interchangeability - Ruger Forum
2023年7月15日 · The logic of shooting 38 Specials in a 357 Mag revolver is simply versatility. 38s are very accurate, they cost less, and they have way less felt recoil. You can also shoot 38+Ps .... a little higher velocity than standard 38s but nowhere near as powerful as a 357 Mag.
3" vs 4" 357 - Ruger Forum
2012年10月15日 · Even though a 4" revolver is really nice for all-round use, a 3" may be slightly more versatile, certainly if it's going to be carried. Bear in mind these are both heavy guns, pretty hefty to carry, especially the 4". And there is something about a 3" revolver that strikes a nice balance, bigger than a snub, but not quite as chunky as a 4".
Ruger GP100 1782, 357 Magnum 7 Shot Unfluted
2018年11月8日 · About 20 or 25 years ago Ruger made a few 1708s and I mean very few. Ruger will never disclose any production numbers but they were very rare in the truest sense of the word. RENE put the number at less than 10 known examples. Just to be clear the 1708 is a stainless steel GP100 with adjustable sights, a 3" barrel and chambered in 357.
Wiley Clapp GP100 SS refresh #1789 - Ruger Forum
2021年5月22日 · The gun that should be a revised and changed into a .38/.357 six shooter is the D frame sized SP101. Five shot J frame sized, six shot D frame sized, seven shot medium frame, and eight shot full sized (N frame sized) revolvers are the way the .38/.357 revolver market should trend in the future. Ruger has the potential to cover all of the bases ...
