Consequently, regardless of what your workflow is, when you export a ‘finished’ image for display online, you should use a sRGB profile. RawTherapee provides RTv4_sRGB for this purpose. It’s an extended sRGB profile that degrades gracefully to plain sRGB in programs that don’t understand the full RTv4_sRGB profile.

2019年11月12日 · when I open an image with GIMP 2.10.20, and keep the color profile of RawTherapee 5.8 RTv4_sRGB, there are problems: a new white or black layer in Gimp remains trasparent. When I export in RT with the profile RTv2_sRGB, this problem does not exist in Gimp.

RTv4_sRGB is a higher quality version of the standard sRGB profile, which surprisingly is inconsistent between implementations. RTv4_sRGB was custom-made for RawTherapee and has 4096 LUT points, as opposed to the lower quality 1024 point sRGB profiles.

2018年11月7日 · Before this modification, all profiles furnished (RTv2 or RTv4) were all by default with a “sRGB gamma”. Now RTv2_Medium and RTv4_medium are with gamma=2.2. Of course you can change these values with the “ICC profile creator”. More complete explanations will be provided shortly, in the issue that I will open (probably tomorrow).

2023年11月22日 · Assuming image stacking programs and editors like Siril work in sRGB only and assign this profile when opening images, would be more appropriate choosing as output profile RTv4_sRGB? RT also reccommends RTv4_Large for further editing in other applications, but if siril can only work in sRGB, would it make sense?
