2022年12月7日 · The Skydio RQ-28A drone will be fielded at the platoon level and serves as the Army’s first program of record quadcopter. The U.S. Army has officially completed its planned fielding of the RQ-28A short-range reconnaissance (SRR) quadcopter drone system.

The drone is controlled by the operator using a rugged handheld controller with joystick and touchscreen, but can also fly completely autonomously. For autonomous operation, the RQ-28A is equipped with a GPS navigation system, 6 cameras for all-aspect awareness, and AI-enhanced flight-control software.
