2005年3月6日 · Here is a quick reference to different types of guide bushings. Photo 1: Top left: Old style Bosch. Installed by removing the bottom plate of the router. Bottom left: New Quick change style Bosch. Installed by dropping into place and sliding a lever. Note the quick change adapter with a PC style bushing installed.

2005年10月5日 · It's a woodhaven plate and I don't want to cut a through hole for it. I want to cut a rabbit out for the plate to sit on. I'd like to use guide bushings to make a template from the router plate then transfer that template to the router table. I'm having a bit of trouble determining the proper bit size and bushing sizes to do this.

2008年3月13日 · I have a 1/2" up cut router bit, what size ID bushing do I need for that. I can't find this answer anywhere! I can't find answer in the link Bob put in. For me, chart is confusing and tells me nothing. In the part below the chart it says there should be 3.5 mm between the cutter and the OD of the bushing for chip removal. I don't care about the OD.

2012年1月17日 · Place the centering cone in the guide bushing (which is tightened) and plunge the router to make 3 marks simultaneously. You will need some spacers to support the base so the centering cone can seat on the guide bushing and so the base plate doesn't rest, or teeter, on the guide bushing. Or - just buy a milescraft plate and bushing kit.

2023年1月21日 · I am using guide bushings on my Ryobi router with a straight bit and not a flush trim bit. I find that the thickness of wood I can do is 0.75 inches since the cutting length on my router bits are 0.75 inches.

2009年12月20日 · I think that is a preference thing. I just like using the router table for some template work as sometimes it just seems easier or safer to me. I have friends that would never use guide collars on the router table and others that use them all of the time. Look at it as just another option you have that might come in handy sometime down the road.

2008年2月11日 · The Harbor Freight template guide bushings are the same same as the Freud FT2020 guide bushing set. I did pose a question about their use, which I sussed out. I have no problem getting the adapters tight. The real only problem I am having is the adaption of my Freud to my Ryobi Router Table.

2011年7月27日 · The O.D. of the larger bushing (or inlay sleeve) should be the diameter of the template guide plus twice the diameter of the cutter..so in your example a 3/16" template guide used with a 1/8" diameter cutter would require a 7/16" inlay sleeve, or you could just use a 7/16" template guide to route the recess.
