The largest rivers which waft in Arunachal Pradesh are Dibang, Kameng, Siang, Subansiri, Lohit, Tirap and Noa-Dihing. The states surrounding Arunachal Pradesh are Assam, Nagaland, Manipur, Meghalaya and Tripura.

River systems in the region, including those from the higher Himalayas and Patkoi and Arakan Ranges, eventually drain into the Brahmaputra River.
