The Rio Salado Habitat Restoration Area stretches along five miles of the Salt River just south of downtown Phoenix. Once a dump site, the area is now a lush riparian corridor with five miles of paved and dirt trails dotted with unique design and user features.

Description: This dirt trail runs parallel to the northern side of the Rio Salado Riverbed, and provides visitors an opportunity to explore a riparian habitat in the middle of the desert. This trail is a great option for those interested in bird watching and observing the riparian scenery.
