Raleigh Speedway was a 1-mile paved, paperclip shaped oval superspeedway located in Raleigh, North Carolina. It closed after only seven years of operation, from 1952 to 1958. Originally opened as Southland Speedway, it hosted an AAA Indy-car race on July 4, 1952 before becoming a NASCAR sanctioned track in 1953.
