Basement Raised Shower: Add a "step up" riser
2008年3月29日 · I'll be raising the shower pan off the concrete floor approx. 8"-10 to accommodate the P trap. Is the approx. 8" step up/step down to get in/out of the shower too much? I was thinking of adding a step up riser and possible longer tread the width of the shower door for functional reasons in getting in and out, but also for aesthetics.
Raised Shower Base on Concrete Floor--How to Properly Secure??
2018年2月8日 · What's the proper way to bond the framing to the floor, and then the shower base to the framing? Half of me thinks i'm over thinking it, and use liquid nails on the 2x4 base, and screw the base framing to the wall studs, then liquid nails the acrylic shower pan to the plywood. Is there a preferred method? I'm spot on level with no shimming.

2018年2月8日 · Update--i've "shimmed" the shower base up with the 4" side of 2x4's and i do get good flow--i guess it's obvious i can't expect water to go UP further than the drain (it'll take the path of least resistance and pile up in the shower/drain, versus flowing to the pump. Any other options, other than building a 2x4 base?
Putting an bathroom on a raised basement floor
2007年9月11日 · So I thought Id put the whole bathroom on a raised wooden floor. The main stack from upstairs is only about 5 feet away from where Id locate the toilet. 1. Can I hook the tub and sink into the toilet drain or does it have to run separately? 2. Does it all need to be vented or can it do that through the main stack? 3.
Installing new 2nd floor bathroom - raised floor?
2009年12月12日 · I realize it is not typical but can it be done? The finished bathroom would be in the master bedroom but would require a step up to get into it. Purpose of Platform Under Toilet? - Love Plumbing & Remodel
2006年10月24日 · The flange was probably set too high off the finished floor and they had to make the platform so the toilet wouldn't wobble and ride on the flange. If your new floor will be installed on top of the old floor then you might be in luck and the flange might sit flush on yr new floor. If yes, then you don't need platform.
Low profile p-trap - Love Plumbing & Remodel
2014年10月30日 · There have been previous discussions on the installation of a basement shower using a macerating system. A common issue has been the elevation/slope of the shower to drain into the system and the resulting need to raise the shower base accordingly (6-8 inches to accommodate a p-trap) The homeowner (like me) ends up with choices that are:
