2007年1月16日 · This backing is what was originally glued to the ceiling. As the foam ages its starts to deteriorate and crumble. It no longer has the strength to re-bond the "ceiling carpet" to the ceiling. Winnebago confirmed this both by phone and a few months later by email. The only fix is to completely replace the material.

The problem that comes to mind with the self-drilling stud solver type anchors is that there is resistance in their inner threads (due to the wood screw type of screw used) and there is resistance (regardless of how slight) installing the inner screw.

2016年6月20日 · The easy but clunky fix is to use wood furring strips across the width of the ceiling or some kind of rosette screwed into the headliner every few inches to hold up the material. Eventually the adhesive and or foam backing will probably completely fail at some point in time and then you have address the problem all over again.

2013年4月29日 · Use it to clean the ceiling as you would any home carpet. If you have stains, then spray them with a mixture of Oxyclean and water solution then vacuum. I have been using this process once a year for 7 years on my MH.

2011年10月7日 · The problem with most RV headliners is the thin layer of foam between the actual liner and the ceiling. This material decomposes with heat and age. It is impossible to reglue the liner to the ceiling because the foam material is no longer strong enough to effect a bond.
