Space-wise, the Rav4 was great because it did have a very spartan feel to it, with bench-like seating and a flat floor. I actually preferred that over the Forester (Outback is very similar there) because it just made the interior feel more open.

back to the original topic 07 Santa Fe vs. 06 RAV4 vs. 07 Mazda Cx7 I haven't drivin the Cx7 (yet), but test drove the Rav4 V6 sport, and the 07SF 3.3L Limited back to back last night. Frankly these are two different classes of vehicle. Yeah the Rav4 is pretty dang peppy, but you can hear that engine buzz, and it's not a pleasant sound.

Suzuki should put out a version that matches the Rav4 for off-road incompetence and interior decibel levels, and get the mileage ratings corrected. Maybe then a few of those Rav4 buyers would be smart enough to pass on the Rav4's Toyota cachet, and pocket up to $10,000. I say all this without taking cabbage at anyone.
