The "best" card you can buy is the Supercard DSTwo Plus. It works on all ds, dsi, and 3ds models, has extra processors for better emulation, and can even play 3ds games.

Oct 15, 2023 · These cards are likely clones. I use a 4 and 2 gigabyte card. The two R4 Revolution cards appear identical, but only one of them works. I've attempted to copy the kernel from the working card to the other one, but it hasn't worked. The second card probably has a different kernel despite having the same name and appearance.

Try deleting "_R4__III.DAT" from the card, and if it boots just fine, then it's a r4-dsl.net cart. It's recommended to replace it when installing the kernel as a newer bootstrap is already present.
