Running Procharger under the hood with no filter?

Procharger: No filter vs. inlet bell vs. pro-volute
Nov 23, 2014 · It made 950whp on 16psi with a S+B 12" long filter. Procharger swore there bell would pick up power. It lost everywhere, HP and TQ, put the filter back on and power came back. No filter was the same, less power everywhere. We thought, hey lets try a smaller filter since it seems to like the "restriction". Same results, less power everywhere.
Is there a ProCharger RACE Air Filter that won't collapse???
Apr 5, 2023 · I recommend measure the air filter pressure drop, then gradually increase filtration surface area as needed to set the appropriate pressure drop. If you are running a wet sump the ideal pressure drop between pre-compressor and crankcase is 0.5" to 1.5"Hg for new clean filters. It should approach 2.5" Hg in the crankcase for dirty filters.

Nov 24, 2014 · I don't expect it to be a 40 or 50 HP difference, but I think it will help some. This air filter/open inlet/bellmouth/inlet tubing thing seems to be about as consistent and accurate as comparing muffler flow. Some people claim to see huge increases from changes and others with seemingly the same parts don't see a damn thing.

Oct 26, 2007 · With the blowers being so close to the front grill I may not be able to run a full size filter. No filter is not an option. Because I clear so much debris from my Porsche radiator ducts I know that cars in front create a vortex that kicks up dirts of the street. If you have the air intakes low to the front it will suck up a lot off stuff.
