Porta-Bote experiences: 8ft 6in model | SailNet Community
2018年9月2日 · First weekend trip with the porta-bote on board, sadly the last sail of the season too. We loved the 'bote' compared to our old inflatable. Pros:-Easily stored on deck, seats\transom fit perfectly in our aft cockpit storage locker.-Motors well.-Fits 3 people plus some gear.-Behaved well when tied to the stern overnight.
Anybody with experiance with Porta Bote's? - Boating Forum
2015年5月5日 · Brackets holding the seats were breaking, and assembly was hands and knees cumbersome, so I thought I'd get a 12' Lowe aluminum - my big mistake -- loud, unstable; tipsy, heavy. Wife and I actually got capsized by a wake in the rolling alumi! That would've never happened in a Porta-Bote. Wanting to sell the alumi now... and get a new 10' Porta ...

Porta-bote as tender/dinghy - SailNet Community
2013年11月18日 · My 8' porta-bote for my 28' S2 cost me $200 (very used) and is dinghy experiment #5 (tried most types of dinks). After some serious re-build and re-thinking the fastenings, it works very well, I carry it along the lifelines.
My Porta-Bote Experience - iboats Boating Forums
2015年6月17日 · it in alaska, but.... the porta bote has probably had 600-700 salmon come aboard across the years. just too much fun. Biggest: a 45lb king on the Kenai River. avg: 6-12 lb in Valdez. goin' again in August. The porta bote is a compromise. but a tough little player. I'm not sure what we would have done without it.
porta-bote bow piece for trollong motor - Boating Forum
2014年1月21日 · Re: porta-bote bow piece for trollong motor i'd be dubious about many adhesives being able to stand up to the combination of MAJOR flexing, lots of water, etc.....maybe a "shoe goo" type of thing. but no, i've just bolted everything through the hull rather than used adhesives, so no experience.

2016年1月11日 · Porta Bote Garry, sounds like your having the same problem I am having. The only thing have found that seems to be working to slow my leak down in this area is a rubberized epoxy. I have put it on both sides of my hull and both sides of the transom. I have pretty much encapsulated the bottom corner in the stuff.
