The Chrysler Polysphere, named for it’s polyspherical combustion chamber, was produced from 1956 to 1966 here in the states, and until 1967 in Canada. It had a similar design to the HEMI, but was less costly to build than the HEMI.

2016年4月10日 · I have a 65 Plymouth with a poly engine. I am trying to decide if I want to replace it with a 426 wedge or something like a 413, or keep the 318 and soup her up some. I believe the 318 could be built into a real torque monster if done correctly. I have seen all the builds online but have never ridden in a car with a built one. Lippy

2018年12月23日 · The wide block, or polysphere 318 was made from 1957 to 1965 (66 in Canada). In 1964 they came out with a redesigned 318 called a 273, for use in Valiant, Dart, and Barracuda. The original 318 would not fit these cars as they were designed for a slant six.
