Ranking Polk Speakers - From Best to Worst — Polk Audio Forum
The Bang and Olufsen p45's will be hung in the garage this Spring to supply music while I work on projects and I will buy a pair of Polk Atrium speakers to put on the hill in my backyard. I will thus be selling my Sony HT setup, the Bose 301's, the Bose 601's and the Polk 550 Sub. So, thanks for your help and suggestions.

SDA2 vs SDA SRS 2 vs SDA 1C - Polk Audio Forum
Hello everyone. I'm new to this forum and very much into vintage hifi. I used to rep Polk speakers back in the early-mid 80s, with particular experience with the Monitors (10B and 5jr come to mind) and the SDA models. To this day, I think the SDA SRS 1 is the best speaker I've ever heard in the store, and I believe one day I'll have a set.

Help putting banana plugs into speakers — Polk Audio Forum
Polk CSM cannot be removed all the way, for some reason--the plug can be loosened only to a certain point. Need to use a needle nose pliers (also called mini long nose pliers in some tool kits) to pry out the plug when the binding post is in the fully tightened position.
Best Polk speakers ever? - Polk Audio Forum
It's hard to pick a BEST Polk speaker because that's very subjective (which seems to have gotten a bad rap lately). Russ' choices are excellent, but as with anything are open for debate. The best for me are: Large floorstander: SDA 1C - a great all-round speaker that does everything well.
best reciever on a budget for my polk speakers
If it is only for music, sell all those speakers and put the money into a better pair of full range speakers (so many choices on the used market). Then focus on a 2-ch receiver or integrated amp. The Outlaw receiver is highly rated, but at a new price, it is above your $500 budget. They are hard to find used, but there are many other choices.
