2025年2月12日 · The Terastal phenomenon or Terastallization (Japanese: テラスタル Terastal) is a temporary transformation affecting Pokémon that was introduced in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet during Generation IX. It gives Pokémon a crystalline appearance and changes its type.

Terastal is the new battle mechanic in Pokémon Scarlet & Violet. This mechanic can be used once per battle and when activated, creates a jewel and luster around each Pokémon. Each Pokémon in Paldea can Terastallize and each Pokémon has a special Tera Type. When it is Terastallized, it will change its type to its special Tera Type.

When a Pokémon Terastallizes, it gains a Tera Jewel above its head that varies in appearance. Every Pokémon has a Tera Type, which is a single type they can transform into, that is inactive until the Pokémon Terastallizes. Then, the Tera Type is exhibited by the Tera Jewel atop its head.
