My photo library is only about 640 but I have tried to use Plex functionality in the past…mainly for slideshow setting during family gatherings, where photos automatically transition and randomize to play on a big screen as a background…in addition to a manually trigger slideshow in a more formal presentation mode.

For instance, JPG and MP4 appear to be supported, but what about earlier formats like 3GP (video from 3G mobiles)? If not supported, do these have to be converted - ideally losslessly? 2024年3月4日 · Server Version#: 4.125.1 Player Version#: I just added a Photo Library to my Plex Server. All the folders with my photos got scanned correctly. I can klick on a folder, then on a photo and it displays the photo. Whats missing though are the thumbnails. Not a single photo has thumbnails. All display black. What am I missing?

What I did, I keep my Google Photos in HD format to save on cloud storage and transfer the original photos/videos to my NAS on a weekly basis using foldersync apps. To open the original photos I use Plex for that. In my opinion, Google Photos has a lot of features which others don't have i.e photo search by face / location etc.

2023年1月2日 · As others have said, Dropbox is probably the easiest. Install the Dropbox app on your Plex host, create the shared photos folder and then create a Plex photo library pointing to that folder. Upload from the Dropbox iPhone app to that folder and it will sync down to your local folder on the Plex host.
