2014年9月27日 · Hi Terri, I had a pleurx catheter & it was great, in the end. The procedure was a bit painful- ask for a painkiller first. The draining was a little painful each time ( 3 times a week to start) but you learn to stop draining before being empty to eliminate the pain.

2018年10月22日 · I was so close to getting my catheter removed! Med/Onc said once I have 3-4 consecutive weeks of below 100 mL on drainage, I can get catheter removed. Well, that happened, I had 4 weeks of under 100. Saw doctor on Friday and a plan was put in place to schedule catheter removal. I drained yesterday and it shot back up to 200 mL.

2014年4月20日 · During the treatment, due to so much fluid building up and needing to be removed, he had a plurex catheter put in for drainage. The cath stopped producing drainage January 31, 2014. In early April the cath was removed.
